"Who cares if someone loses their life savings on that? You know, Coinbase makes more money. Yeah, which is what it's all about. It's such a scumbag comment, and how he can publicly tweet that is incredible."

"Turbo pod today, guys, so let's rock and roll. This is Britcoiners episode 156. Welcome back, guys. How are we all?"

"Very good."

"Good."

"Yeah, you put on a front. He was moaning about being sick before."

"Well, a little bit, yeah."

"Very good. Power on three."

"That's what you say, Trooper."

"Mhm."

"Okay, agenda this week. We have got: crypto stockpile, Brian Armstrong at the World Economic Forum, Bank of America CEO Russ Albert, updates on Trump's meme coin that was picked up by the BBC, a lot of Ripple XRP drama, the DeepSeek AI situation, and the Czech Central Bank."

"Check, check, check, check. Yeah."

"Last episode's price was 102,000. Today is also 102,000. High since the last episode was 107, so we're a bit up and down at the moment."

"107? According to this? Did we go to 107? I missed that."

"Oh no, we did. Went just on, yeah. There you go. Cool."

"Okay, kicking off-crypto stockpile. That's top of the old list."

"The digital asset stockpile?"

"Yeah."

"Is that what it's officially called, then?"

"Just emphasizing that to get the argument going."

"I just try to-"

"Trigger."

"So, it got announced. They're evaluating the creation of-"

"It's a watered-down thing on what people were hoping for, isn't it? I think there's a lot of bluster about there being an executive order for a Bitcoin Strategic Reserve being made, and we end up with an evaluation of the creation of a crypto stockpile. Surely people have got to be disappointed with that?"

"Hang on. Digital asset stockpile? Crypto?"

"I think you're right in the fact that-just look at the price. It didn't really move on the back of it, right? So, I think people were expecting a bit more."

"Maybe actually had a little bit of a drop."

"Well, that's because it wasn't the Strategic Bitcoin Reserve."

"Was it ever going to be the Bitcoin Strategic Reserve?"

"I think that's-me and Dave have had arguments on this already this morning, and yesterday, and the day before."

"Do you guys ever not argue?"

"That's how you get stuff done."

"That's how decisions-good decisions-are made. Based on arguments."

"I've argued with him when I'm asleep in my dream as well."

"It's nice to know that I dominate your headspace."

"Yeah, that's true. That's true."

"No, I think-nobody knew. We didn't know. We-I think we discussed it on one of the pods before, didn't we? Or maybe even last week's, about actually, can you just do an executive order for a Strategic Reserve?"

"I thought-and you were pretty adamant that you could, and I was like, No, it'll just be an evaluation."

"You didn't say 'evaluation' on-"

"I said it'll be the evaluation, creation-it will be to create the team to go and do it, is what I was saying. And that-that's what they've called it: the evaluation whatever."

"There's about nine of them, is it? In the team?"

"By the time we get-"

"So, they got 180 days, right? Something like that."

"And they're going to come out with a proposal."

"It'll be such a watered-down thing."

"So, I think they've had to use 'digital assets' and not 'Bitcoin' because it's to keep it generic. To keep it-if it gets passed, they're doing it properly to make sure it gets passed correctly."

"P generic, almost. So it can be in there for the long term."

"So, there will always be some hesitation that they think, Bitcoin, in, you know, in 30 years' time, if Bitcoin's not the one, then actually, they need to be able to pivot to another one. So, if they've only got Bitcoin in this, they wouldn't be able to do that."

"So, they keep it generic and vague to keep their options potentially open in the future. And you could-you know, you could try and argue, Well, they've not got conviction and they're not believing in Bitcoin."

"They don't. Some of them will. Some of them will be hesitant, on the fence. But they'll have to keep it vague to please the majority of people."

"It won't please the Bitcoiners, but as long as it goes through and they only get Bitcoin in there, that is the main thing at the minute."

"Having it called a digital asset, with the option to potentially add others, is irrelevant at the minute because I don't think they will add others."

"You don't think they will add others?"

"No."

"Oh, I think it'll be a mixed bag of-"

"Mixed."

"XRP?"

"Yeah, come on."

"They were like the people-there will be like, Why would you add a Strategic Reserve? I wouldn't add it to-why would the U.S. add a Strategic Reserve of something you're buying? Like, what do they have at the minute in that sense?"

"It's like gold, isn't it? And things like that."

"Where they'd get gold-some of the other countries get U.S. bonds and various bonds from other countries."

"Which-a Strategic Reserve could be literally any commodity, couldn't it?"

"What would you go with at the minute?"

"What would they have at the minute?"

"Gold is pretty much it. Because it can't be technically controlled by anyone."

"In some sense, it can be mined in different places. Don't get me wrong, I get all that, but-it's probably the most decentralized thing."

"So why are you saying-so you think, you're saying the Strategic Stockpile of digital assets will just be Bitcoin? In 180 days, they'll just say, We're going to make a Bitcoin-only Reserve?"

"No, they're not saying-I'm not going to say they're making it a Bitcoin-only Reserve. They'll push it through as a digital asset, but they'll only buy Bitcoin..."
