Is incorrect full on him correct anyway? She might turn it around. Let's see how many experts the BBC has brought on. CU, you just said it yourself - they've done it again because they brought on some idiot who doesn't know what they're talking about. They think they know what they're talking about. Clearly, the BBC is getting it wrong every single time.

That's probably the best one I've ever done. Well, New Year, let's go. Can we try and keep it to 45 minutes? Let's go.

Right, hi, everyone, welcome back, happy New Year! Only been waiting half an hour while Dave chats on to start. That wasn't me; that was just... Anyway, okay, new year, same pod. Everyone have a good Christmas? New Year delight? Did everyone get what they wanted?

Do you know what I got? I had a huge disparity between the money I spent and my wife did. The amount I received... but I'm trying to slowly let go. Against yourself, you'd think about that. I'm a guy that used to put presents I received into a good and bad pile in front of my family.

Cheers. Well, there was an obvious bad pile, right?

Cheers.

And then being quite brutal, CHR for or against you?

Oh, very against me. To the point where, you know, you shouldn't be disappointed as an adult at Christmas because you know you're not a child, but I was very much like, wow. Just know that Dave's got a spreadsheet with all the values added up. He never forgets; he remembers the thing.

Well, we won't get each other much, and then she stuck to that. Anyway, good Christmas?

This isn't your therapy podcast, Dave. We don't want to know about your problems.

Well, I'm sharing! I told you, David Brooks' How to Know a Person has changed me. It's a great book that I read over the Christmas period, and it's all about sharing in-depth conversations.

Okay, anyway - not... we're just not used to it, sorry. Right, okay, I'm going, cracking on. Welcome back. Okay, so this week - okay, so we've got like a month's worth of stuff, so some of the stuff is a little bit dated, but we've got a lot to catch up on.

Germany's ex-Finance Minister - he was pro-Bitcoin. BlackRock has released an educational video on Bitcoin. El Salvador - a lot on El Salvador, three El Salvadors. There's a lot on MicroStrategy, but none of you guys have ticked that, so I just assume we're deliberately not ticking that. Okay.

And then actually, quite a lot of DAEs. Oh wow, yeah, cracking building up. Tried not to take any of the old ones, apologies there, but there are a few, just a few. The Germany one I've taken as the first one.

Yeah, I just did that for a laugh. That was more of a kick - kick the year off with a good start. Remember when they sold at $53,000?

Okay, we'll talk on price. Do you want to? That was it. I didn't take that Germany one for anything else other than that.

Oh, okay, yeah. Just thought, kick the year off with a bit of a light-hearted 'remember when Germany sold Bitcoin.' Are we jumping ahead here? We haven't even done the price yet. What was the price? The price last - the live price is $101K. Last episode's price was $107K, and the high since last episode has been $108K. And when Germany sold, it was $53,000.

Yeah, yeah, I remember. What, like Germany didn't sell that? They were some seizure that they were almost forced to sell in an area of Germany. Like, not the German government choosing to sell Bitcoin - the German government. Really, it's like when people say like - but in the UK, the regulator is not government, is it? It's an independent regulator, but it's still government, isn't it, really?

Yeah, but that asset doesn't matter if it was Bitcoin or anything else. It was just a seized asset that they, under their jurisdiction, had a timeline for, didn't they?

Yeah, but the funny headline is that they sold at $53,000.

Yeah, and everyone at the time was like, "You'll regret this."

So this was Germany's ex-Finance Minister. So is he 'ex' because they sold?

I didn't read the article. I just saw 'Germany' and flagged it because I thought it'd just highlight the price, and it'd be a good talking point.

What's the ex-German Finance Minister saying?

She said it's time to recognise the opportunities of Bitcoin in Germany again. I didn't take this to talk about the story.

I have now - that's still great news. I haven't read a single thing on it. I just saw 'Germany' and tipped it. I don't even know what it's about.

It'd be better if it was the Finance Minister, not the ex-Finance Minister.

True, it does take some away from his - like, ex-guy, okay. Just a reflection on the price. Six months ago, it was $53,000, and today it's $101,000. It was just a reflection on that. What a beautiful reflection moment.
